Creating a Typology of Places to Annotate Holocaust Testimonies Through Machine Learning

Co-presented with Christine Liu at the first Holocaust Testimonies as Language Resources (HTRes) workshop. We introduce a typology of places designed for annotating Holocaust testimonies and describe how machine learning models can be trained to identify and classify location references across large testimony corpora.
